marezie:

I want the type of testimony that changes lives.

But the type of testimony that changes my life alone is always going to be enough.

We might bend or even break

The journey’s long but we will celebrate

When we get through the valley

We’re not defined by the fall

We get back up

Keep pressing through these walls

It’s worth the fight

And we say hey, when we go through the fire

Heart in hand, hope alive, it’ll be ok

Hey, when we walk across the wire

We won’t back down cause we are brave

Shawn McDonald, “We Are Brave” (via iwouldfollow)

The young man who closes the door behind him, who draws the curtains, and there in silence pleads with God for help, should first pour out his soul in gratitude for health, for friends, for loved ones, for the gospel, for the manifestations of God’s existence. He should first count his many blessings and name them one by one.

David O. McKay (via return-to-virtue)

And we talk of Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we preach of Christ, we prophesy of Christ, and we write according to our prophecies, that our children may know to what source they may look for a remission of their sins.

The Book of Mormon, 2 Nephi 25:26 (via bookofmormonquotes)

I LOVE watching General conference and all the messages that our living prophets and apostles give to us. I invite everyone to watch at 10 a.m. MDT April 6, 2014. General Conference truly helps my faith and testimony grow every time :)

sometimes I admittedly feel bad about talking about my religion so much.

I know people are annoyed by it.

But it’s hard to keep something quiet that is so important, so meaningful and so precious to me. Something I can’t live without. Something that I’m so passionate about.

My religion is who I am

not a side order

I’m a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

I know it, I live it, I love it

Amen!

Are Mormons Christians? I wash told that their beliefs are so different that they can't be considered as christians.

askingmormons:

Christian: a person who believes in and follows Jesus Christ.

For some reason lots of people have lots of definitions as to what a christian is or does. But members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints are in fact Christians! We follow Christ’s teachings and strive to live the way He did. He stands at the head of our church. We are Christians and if anyone tells you otherwise, they are mistaken :) Thanks for the question!

as young women we are asked all the time in lessons we have about the qualities we want in a young man and we make lists. where do we draw the line when setting these standards? are there lines? is it settling for less when you don't get everything on the list? because a good friend of mine said she looked back at her list and none of it matched her husband and she is perfectly happy. help!

mormonproblems:

Yes, yes, yes! What your friend said. I think the line can be clearly defined to never lowering your standards for a relationship, but helping each other with personal problems, or troubles you can work through. Yes, abandon your lists, and keep an open mind. The man of your dreams may be completely unexpected, but still perferct for you :)
